Kingdom Work
Trinity Presbyterian Church is committed to serving the King of Glory and His Kingdom through local and foreign evangelism and discipleship. We believe that, as servants of the King, we are to follow His example of supporting the weak, proclaiming the Truth of the Gospel, and of teaching His disciples so that they grow strong in Him.
We support several foreign missions. From a ministry that helps to see that orphans are adopted into loving families (largely nationals adopting nationals) to supporting seminaries that train national pastors - we rejoice that the Lord has allowed us to partner with these amazing ministries in their Kingdom work.
Locally we focus on equipping the saints for service. The members of the Church are the Church and through the years several members have become active in several personal / local mission activities. We support one another in these Kingdom works and we also provide, as a Church, opportunities to extend the witness of Jesus Christ into other areas of new Kingdom Activity. Traditionally we have supported local mercy ministries (a soup kitchen and the local crisis pregnancy center). And, recently we have re-engaged in efforts to speak the Truth into our Culture. Presently we are addressing the area of Creation and pointing out the problems with views of Creation that seek to ignore the Creator. We hope to reach out into the Arts as well - to speak a word about True Beauty and Art that is pleasing to the One Who has Created human beings in His image and gifted us with hands, voices, and minds to make art and music. Our goal as individuals and as a Church is to be prepared to give an account of the hope that we have in Christ - doing so with gentleness and respect.
